Fun at the Great Grans!

We spent this past Sunday and Monday with Gpa and Gma Haas. It was enjoyable for all of us, but Colt REALLY had a good time!

He had fun inspecting and learning about the garden. . . even tried some fresh broccoli!

He wore Daddy out wanting to swing. . . "Higher HIGHER!!" I wonder if we have a good place for a tire swing in our backyard?

Kylie was sweet as can be too. Automatically warmed up to her great grans :-)

Poor precious. . . I mean, Colt really loved on Precious. Probably as much as she could stand. She was so good with him though. If we could find a calm chihuahua that didn't bark or bite. . . you know a perfect and rare one like Precious, we wouldn't mind having one of those either (since they don't shed)!

Colt drank some hot chocolate to warm up. . . right out of the big boy mug. He's big stuff now.

Gma always has fresh flowers everywhere - even in our room :-) They were beautiful!

Colt even got to help Gpa bring in the eggs Monday morning! That was neat too.

Since we missed the snow in Wake Forest while we were in Goldsboro :-) haha

Mama T, Colt spotted you in the picture while he was eating in front of the fire:-) Very observant. He knows his Grandma anywhere! He said, "I see my Grandma!!!"

Completely tuckered out. . .right after a tummy full of raclette!
Thanks for having us Grandpa and Grandma Haas! We love you guys so much!

The Dog Whistler

This is how Colt whistles for. . . anything. We were spending some time at Gpa and Gma Haas' this past weekend, and they have a dog that was perfect for Colt to practice his whistling on. Oh dear. It's quite shrill and probably damaging to his vocal chords, but he doesn't understand that. He's so proud of himself.

A day at the park in February ~

I'm LOVING this mild "winter." 60 degree weather is right up my alley. We are spending time outside as much as we can. It's good exercise and helps the kiddos rest well too!

Colt and his bff Jack have discovered riding their bikes on the grass. They struggle to get them up the hill and then race down. Brooke (Jack's mom) and I spent all day Wednesday pulling the bikes up the hill, but not today! The boys did just fine on their own :-)

And beware of picture overload. David bought me a new camera and I'm "feeling it out."

What's new with the kids ~

Colt is going through this "ninja" phase. The FIRST thing I hear in the morning isn't "Good morning Mommy!" or "I love you!" or even "I'm hungry." No, it's "Mom, do you want to play Ninjas? You can be the blue ninja and I'll be the white ninja and we used to be bad but now we are good and we listen to God. Ok?" (yes, that is all ONE sentence). Thank you Mother Dearest, Gail Curry, for the ninja's pictured below that I am becoming an expert at playing :-) We aren't just ninjas at home though. We are ninjas at the park, at the store, in the car, at church. . . there is no containing it.

Kylie is now 8 months old! She is a sweetheart. Last month included her 2 bottom teeth, crawling and pulling up, waving, saying "mama" and "bubba." Last night she stood on her own for like 10 seconds! I couldn't believe it. Here is a video of her waving:
